Guerlain Abeille Royal Advanced Youth Watery Oil Review

Oct 04, 2023

There are plenty of beauty products on the market that I’m obsessed with, but in the last couple of months there's been a new contender that has made its way into my curated portfolio of vanity mirror spots. Say hello to the Guerlain Abeille Royale Advanced Youth Watery Oil, a multi-tasking, wrinkle reducing, dullness-eliminating all-star face oil that has notably improved my skin with regular use.

What's the secret? Blending pure black bee honey from France and three other honeys from remote islands across Europe with a royal jelly, for visible skin revitalization that firms, plumps and hydrates the skin, sans the greasiness of traditional face oils. With Youth Watery Oil, you can reap the benefits of a serum and a moisturizer in one for an instant glow (added bonus: tiny gold microbeads bursting with radiance-inducing honey that leave a miraculous sheen on the skin).

After a couple of months of use, my skin has been noticeably brighter (no easy feat after a long, harsh Midwest winter).

But in addition to its all-star formula, its worth also nothing the brand's focus on sustainability in the luxury skincare space.

As part of the brand's efforts to safeguard the bee population, Guerlain has been working towards protecting bees by teaching future generations about these incredible forces of nature through the "Guerlain for Bees Conservation Program", an awareness-building program for elementary school children to raise awareness with an emphasis on the value of transferring knowledge from one generation to the next.

On the most recent occasion leading up to World Bee Day this month, Guerlain's Chief Sustainability Officer Cecile Lochard and actress Pauline Chalamet co-hosted a Bee School in Austin, TX in late May, with continued plans for more schools across the country (and world) in 2023.

Additionally, Guerlain partnered with French artist Celine Cleron to create a limited-edition Advanced Youth Watery Oil (above) with an exclusive bottle and packaging design, inspired by her own passion for nature.
